Tuesday 6 December:  Pavee Point Drugs Programme

The Pavee Point Drugs Programme will host an event to detail recently published research produced by the programme on Traveller access to an use of drug and alcohol services.  They will also launch a new service promoting awareness of Drugs issues and drugs themselves, aimed at young Travellers though Facebook.

Thursday 8 December: Violence Against Women Programme

The VAW Programme will launch a training and informational DVD ‘Pavee Tarrying & Romani Zorajo Vorba’ – Travellers and Roma Speak Out on Domestic and Sexual Violence.  They will also launch good practice guidelines for services working with Traveller women experiencing domestic abuse and a Pavee Point Position Paper on Violence against Women

Friday 9 December: Health Programme

Where to next for the All Ireland Traveller Health Study? An invitation-only seminar at the Royal College of Surgeons to discuss the implications of the All Ireland Health Study and the next steps to be taken by the health service and government to address Traveller health issues and meet the recommendations in the study report.
