“I feel like there is much to learn from our ancestors and their stories, and I feel like this initiative allows a space of respect and reflection, as well as keeping the stories alive of what happened to the Roma people,” Lois Brookes Jones.
“I have seen documentaries regarding the Roma experiences and I found it such a big mistreatment of human beings and that their stories and experiences need to be heard,” Richard O’Leary.
This project includes a five-day trip to Poland to meet Roma Holocaust survivors. We are fundraising for the flights to and from Poland for this project. We have a target of €5,000. If you would like to support this effort – YOU CAN DONATE here.
In the coming weeks, the participants will attend a two day training session in Pavee Point to prepare them for the project, as well as planning fundraising activities and events.
