If so – Register for this Human Rights & Community Work Training Course
This NUI Cert/ROMED programme which is being offered to a limited group of Traveller and Roma leaders on a one off basis over four x three day residential workshops with homework in between provides this opportunity.
It leads to both an accredited Maynooth University Certificate (Level 7) Community Work in a Changing Ireland & Council of Europe ROMED certificate.
Participants selected will already be in leadership roles in their organizations and making contributions to their groups locally or nationally. There is a registration cost of €200.
Certification and Progression
Successful completion of the course will lead to the NUI Certificate “Community Work in a Changing Ireland”. Holders of the Certificate may be eligible, if they meet the course entry requirements, to progress to the BA in Community Work and Youth Work in NUIM which is available on a full or part-time basis.
Assessment will be through course work – essays, assignments, class presentations. A course project will be undertaken which requires an element of group work and research. 80% attendance is part of the course requirement.
