The Pavee Point Education Team has published a new report —’TRES: From Plan to Action’ — following workshops held in September on the Second Plan for Implementation and Action 2026–2028 of the Traveller and Roma Education Strategy (TRES).
Key actions for each Government Department were identified in the workshops, with participants highlighting the need for policy to focus on:
➜ Roma-specific actions
➜ Mandatory anti-racism training for all school staff and personnel from Early Years through to Further and Higher Education
➜ Strengthening the collection of ethnicity data
➜ Addressing Reduced School Days
➜ Strengthening access and pathways to Further and Higher Education
