Samantha Joyce

Samantha  does a lot of work within her community supporting Irish Travellers and advocating for rights. She is part of the Irish Traveller Movement’s Youth Forum as a youth Leader, and has worked with Kilkenny Traveller Movement and the Traveller Health Project in Kilkenny as a wellbeing & awareness worker. Samantha writes and recites her poetry and loves being creative through her work. She is passionate about working towards a better future for herself and everyone around her.  She was a writer in Residence at Butler Gallery, Kilkenny, in the Summer of 2024.  Photo Credit: Kilkenny Observer
