Brigid Nevin is Co-Ordinator of the Traveller Primary Healthcare Project with TravAct, Coolock, Dublin. Her project is one of 25 Traveller Primary Healthcare Projects around the country.
Her work in Primary Health Care has involved Brigid in advocating for the Traveller community with service providers including the HSE. Brigid took part in a recent Department of Health consultation on the Traveller Health Action Plan due to be published in early 2021. Brigid was a peer researcher on the All Ireland Traveller Health Study in 2009 and also led out on research for the FRA survey, being launched today. She is a graduate in Community Work and is studying for a Bachelor of Social Science at Maynooth University.
