A National Reference Group was established as a key component of the project to share learning, shape the project and promote sustainability. The Reference Group is coposed of Roma, Traveller, statutory and other relevant stakeholders with experience or responsibility in relation to Traveller and Roma rights, equality and social inclusion as well as ethnic identifier and data collection issues.
The Reference Group, chaired by Pavee Point, met three times in 2015 in May, September and November. A final meeting will be held in February 2016. Reference Group members have played an important role in guiding and supporting the project implementation and offering feedback on policy recommendations and initial drafts of good practice guidelines.
