Thursday, Oct 29 — Pavee Point hosted a meeting with participants of the Civil Service Traveller and Roma Work Placement Programme, discussing the next steps for participants towards applying for full employment within the Civil Service, and offering understandings of how careers in the Civil Service work.
The afternoon opened to group discussions, where each participant had the opportunity to share their experiences of the Placement Programme, and the importance of the programme for their own self-realisation: overcoming the impacts of prejudice and discrimination, and in understanding their own capabilities.
The discussions were an opportunity for programme coordinators to gather full feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of the programme in order to improve and develop the programme for its third edition next year.
