As part of our 30-year partnership with the Central Statistics Office (CSO), a presentation was made to the National Traveller Health Network (NTHN) on Census 2027. During the session, we discussed the need to adapt our approaches to ensure maximum participation of Travellers and Roma in the upcoming census.
Census 2027 will take place over a five-week period rather than on a single night. It will also be the first census that can be completed online, though paper forms will still be available. Building on our longstanding work in this area, we will be partnering with the CSO to develop resources to support Traveller and Roma participation, while also supporting CSO staff in the field.
