Pavee Point’s EU Traveller/Roma Pre-Platform Event takes place in Pavee Point on Wednesday, 4 November from 4.00–6.00pm, ahead of the 19th European Platform for Roma Inclusion in Dublin.
This event is an official Irish Presidency Associated event and will bring together colleagues attending the Platform, alongside others who may not be able to attend given the limited number of places. The event will bring together EU policymakers, national government representatives, Travellers, Roma, Traveller organisations and groups working with Roma and civil society from Ireland and across Europe to support collective work, share promising practices and strengthen discussion ahead of the official Platform.
It will also provide an opportunity to highlight the Irish Traveller and Roma context, and to reflect on how national experiences can contribute to and shape wider European policy, including implementation of the EU Roma Strategic Framework and related developments at EU level.
The evening will include a number of short inputs and an interactive discussion, followed by music, food and refreshments.
