To mark International Human Rights Day today we at Pavee Point released balloons to remember that 1 in 5 women are victims of domestic violence.
Today also marks the end of the 16 Days Campaign on this important issue. During these 16 days, Traveller men spoke out to #Break the Silence on violence against women on Facebook and Twitter.
This was co-ordinated by the Pavee Point Violence Against Women Programme who would like to thank everyone who took part. Even though this is the end of the 16 Day Campaign – let’s not forget this important issue that needs to be challenged all year round.
