Dublin Pride 2019

There was a great atmosphere at Dublin Pride this year – one of the biggest parades so far.  The LGBT Traveller and Roma Action Group were busy with breakfast and banner making at Pavee Point beforehand.

We got our spot near the Gardaí and teachers on O’Connell Street  and after much good cheer we headed off.

We passed some great Dublin landmarks and the crowd was very supportive of our group with lots of clapping and cheers of support.  Martin McDonagh travelled from Belfast to speak at the end of parade festival in Merrion Square.

It was fantastic to give visibility to LGBT Travellers and Roma and to show solidarity with so many other groups. It was also wonderful to see all the expression and to join in a happy and celebratory event for our 14th year.
