Transforming Traveller and Roma Education: from Access to Outcomes

Pavee Point’s Education Programme works to advance education access, participation, retention and outcomes for Travellers and Roma in education from early years through to further and higher education. The programme addresses the challenges and barriers experienced by Travellers and Roma in education by:

• Representing Traveller and Roma education and training issues in relevant spaces and structures

• Developing policy positions and advocacy materials on Traveller and Roma education and training, to inform relevant policy, strategy and initiatives at national and international level

• Developing and implementing ongoing policy and actions relating to the Traveller and Roma Education Strategy, the SOLAS strategy, the National Access Plan, and other relevant national strategies and policies

• Providing supports and resources to Traveller and Roma organisations and networks, to raise awareness and ambition around education and training rights and options for Travellers and Roma
